Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the North Pinellas training center located relative to Morton Plant?
Our primary Drew Street classroom is located in the heart of the Clearwater medical district, just a few minutes east of the Morton Plant Hospital campus. This central location offers a “straight-shot” commute for medical professionals coming from Dunedin or Safety Harbor via the Gulf-to-Bay corridor and is easily accessible for those crossing the Courtney Campbell Causeway from Tampa.
How long is the local CPR class?
Most sessions run 3–3.5 hours. We focus on hands-on practice using high-fidelity feedback manikins to ensure you meet the clinical standards required by BayCare and AdventHealth systems.
Is this an official American Heart Association (AHA) certification?
Yes. Every course taught at our North County sites uses the official 2026 AHA curriculum. These cards are the gold standard for SPC students and medical staff throughout the Coastal Pinellas area.
Will I get my certification card the same day?
Yes, in most cases, your electronic AHA eCard is issued the same day you finish. This allows for immediate employment verification at facilities like Mease Dunedin or local surgical centers.
What do I need to bring to the training session?
Just a valid photo ID. We provide all professional equipment, AED trainers, and your AHA student workbook at no additional cost at our Clearwater-district classroom.
Is this class suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. Whether you are a local resident from Countryside or a UMA student preparing for your first clinical rotation, we welcome all experience levels.
