AHA Heartsaver First Aid & CPR Course Content
At In-Pulse CPR, we offer The American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR and First Aid course, which is one step above the basic Heartsaver class. With the CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) component of the course, you will learn how to do CPR on all age groups including adults, children, and infants. You will also learn about airway obstructions and how to use AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) to improve your emergency situation skills. We are passionate about making sure that each student leaves the classroom feeling confident in the skills they gained.
We provide AHA-certified, trusted CPR training at more than 50 separate locations across Florida, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania. Whether you are on the safety committee at your place of work, in need of certification for licensing, or an individual who simply wants to know how to properly provide CPR to members of their community in an emergency, we have CPR and AED training classes near you.

Why Train With & Get Certified by In-Pulse CPR?
The ultimate reason to learn CPR, first aid, and how to use AEDs is to give yourself the training you need to potentially save a life. For example, in Rochester, Minnesota, a boy named Cody Runya was swimming in a pool when he saw a child just lying at the bottom. Cody quickly swam down and pulled the child up the surface. Another boy nearby saw him struggling to get the drowning victim out of the water, so ran over to help bring him out.
The boy was no longer underwater, but he was no longer breathing either. A third rescuer, Desiree Pasko, quickly began doing CPR on the child. She started with chest compressions and rescue breathing, just as she was taught in her CPR class. Eventually the child’s face, which was blue before, slowly began to get some pink in the cheeks. Desiree kept up the rescue breathing and chest compressions and then turned him on his side, hoping he would cough and vomit — which he did! Both Cody and Desiree, due to their fast thinking and CPR training, had saved the child’s life.
These kinds of stories happen all the time and, unfortunately, there aren’t always people like Desiree and Cody there to help. We want to change that. The more people know CPR, the more likely someone in an emergency gets the immediate support they need.
Situations that Call for CPR Include:
Cardiac arrest
Near-drowning incidents
Suffocation
And any other situation where a person is not breathing
