Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the Tri-County training center located relative to Westchase and Palm Harbor?
We offer two strategic classrooms in the Upper Tampa Bay area. Our Tampa Road hub (near Flamestone) is perfectly positioned for those coming from Westchase or Countryside. Our second location at the Tampa Bay Skating Center on Forest Lakes Blvd provides an easy, “back-way” commute for residents of East Lake and Palm Harbor looking to avoid the heavy traffic on US-19.

How long is the local BLS or CPR class?
Most sessions run 3–3.5 hours. We focus on high-efficiency, hands-on learning so BayCare healthcare providers and Westchase childcare workers can get back to their shifts quickly.

Is this an official American Heart Association (AHA) certification?
Yes. Every course taught at our Tri-County sites uses the official 2026 AHA curriculum. These cards are the gold standard for SPC and UMA students, as well as staff throughout the Hillsborough-Pinellas border region.

Will I get my certification card the same day?
Yes, in most cases, your electronic AHA eCard is issued the same day you finish. This allows for immediate employment verification at facilities like Mease Countryside or local surgical centers.

What do I need to bring to the training session?
Just a valid photo ID. We provide all professional equipment, high-fidelity feedback manikins, and your required AHA student workbook at no extra cost at our Oldsmar-district classrooms.

Is this class suitable for first-time students?
Absolutely. Whether you are a resident of The Eagles taking a class for personal safety or a Galen nursing student preparing for clinicals, we welcome all experience levels.

Need training for your staff?

AHA BLS Training for the Upper Tampa Bay & Westchase Community

Our Tampa Road training site is the essential “Tri-County Connection” for In-Pulse CPR. Ideally located at the junction of Hillsborough Ave (SR-580), we provide a central AHA certification point for healthcare professionals and corporate teams commuting from Citrus Park, Safety Harbor, and Town ‘n’ Country.

Healthcare & Medical Professionals (AHA BLS)

Serving the medical corridor that bridges Pinellas and Hillsborough counties, we frequently certify clinical staff from:

  • Mease Countryside Hospital (BayCare): The most convenient off-campus site for nursing and surgical teams located just minutes away near McMullen Booth Rd.
  • St. Joseph’s Hospital-North: Supporting clinical teams commuting from the Lutz and Keystone residential corridors.
  • AdventHealth Westchase & Citrus Park: Serving ER practitioners, nurses, and support staff from these high-traffic medical facilities.
  • TGH Urgent Care: Providing flexible BLS training for primary care practitioners in the 33626 and 34677 zip codes.
  • Children’s Medical Center: Supporting pediatricians and nursing staff at one of the region’s premier pediatric practices in the Westchase area.
  • BayCare HomeCare (Tri-County): Essential certifications for home health providers serving Suburban North Tampa and East Pinellas.

Education, Childcare & Community Safety

Our Forest Lakes and Tampa Road classrooms serve the high-growth residential hubs of Waterchase, Highland Lakes, and The Eagles:

  • Regional Public Schools: Training educators, school nurses, and coaches from East Lake High, Alonso High, and Palm Harbor University High.
  • Leisure Services & Recreation: Training lifeguards and facility staff for the Cypress Forest Recreation Center and local parks.
  • Upper Tampa Bay YMCA: Providing required CPR and First Aid for fitness instructors and youth development leads.
  • Regional Corporate Parks (Nielsen, Lockheed Martin): Delivering workplace safety and AED training for corporate emergency response teams (CERT).
  • Amazing Explorers Academy: Delivering mandated certifications for childcare providers in the Westchase and East Lake area.

Medical, Nursing & Professional Schools (The “Student” Core)

As a strategic training resource for students living at the border of three counties, we serve:

  • St. Petersburg College (SPC): The primary location for local students to meet clinical requirements for Tarpon Springs and Clearwater programs.
  • Ultimate Medical Academy (UMA): Supporting students and staff at the regional support hub for healthcare administration.
  • University of South Florida (USF): A quiet, suburban training alternative for “Uptown” students residing in the Westchase corridor.
  • Galen College of Nursing: A preferred certification site for nursing students looking for weekend flexibility near the Veterans Expressway.
  • Jersey College Nursing School: Supporting students entering clinical phases with fast, same-day AHA BLS card issuance.

Local Significance FAQ

Why is the Oldsmar/Westchase classroom a preferred hub for Tri-County students?
Because we are situated at the exact meeting point of Pinellas, Hillsborough, and Pasco, our classrooms on Tampa Road and Forest Lakes Blvd allow students to avoid the heavy US-19 or I-275 traffic. It’s the perfect “middle ground” for Mease Countryside staff and USF nursing students living in the Upper Tampa Bay suburbs.
